IUP Men's and Women's Swimming Sweep Fairmont State

The IUP men's and women's swim teams swept Fairmont State as the women (9-1) won their seventh straight meet and the men (4-4) won their third consecutive meet. The women won by a score of 113-64 while the men took a 113-61 victory.

Brittany Watkins won the 200 IM (2:19.87) and the 200 breastroke (2:33.26), Bethany Johnston won the 200 freestyle (2:05.42), Jen Price won the 1000 freestyle (11:04.76) and Jordan Myers won the 200 butterfly (2:17.83).

The 200 medley relay of Watkins, Erin Barbetta, Kate Rowe, and Abbey Doran took first with a time of 1:56.55.

Doran and Barbetta also teamed with Galit Regev and Melissa Kucharczuk to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:45.03).

Jeff Gavin and Dylan Mudlo each won two events as Gavin took the 200 freestyle (1:52.60) and the 500 freestyle (5:08.90), and Mudlo won the 200 IM (2:07.37) and the 200 butterfly (2:08.30).

Eric Schepner won the 1000 freestyle (10:50.76), Luke Shaheen won the 100 freestyle (51.60) and Pawel Glowiak won the 200 backstroke (1:58.32).

Glowiak and Shaheen combined with Chris Crooks and Josh Huger to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:32.13).

Both teams travel to Shippensburg next weekend for a 1:00 p.m. meet Saturday.
