April 10, 2008 Alex Nocella scored two goals and added an assist in IUP's 23-5 loss to the Bald Eagles in a PSAC contest Thursday night at Charlotte Smith Field in Lock Haven. Lauren Abbott, Kellie Caldwell and Amanda Fetter each scored a goal for the Crimson Hawks (2-8, 1-7 PSAC) while Alex Slinkard contributed a pair of assists. Abbott and Caldwell both fielded six ground balls. Leigh Titus led Lock Haven, the fifth-ranked team in Division II, with five goals. She was followed by Amber Hoch and Jessica Blickenstaff with four each. Rachael Williams had two goals and five assists. The Bald Eagles (9-2, 7-1) scored just eight seconds into the game en route to a 14-3 halftime lead. Lock Haven outshot IUP 39-18, with Crimson Hawk goalie Katie Lee making 10 saves. IUP returns home to take on Shippensburg Saturday at 1 p.m. |
