IUP played a pair of matches Saturday at Memorial Field House, besting Barton in the morning before coming back to knock off Davis & Elkins later in the evening. The Crimson Hawks have won three of their last four matches. IUP won the first two games in both matches before dropping the third and finishing it off in the fourth game. The Crimson Hawks downed Barton by scores of 30-19, 30-16, 25-30, 30-18 and then posted a 30-25, 30-15, 27-30, 30-15 victory over Davis & Elkins. Maddie Schulte had 13 kills to lead IUP in that match against Barton, followed by Tessa Siewert and Tessa Irwin with eight each. Schulte only had three errors and hit .385 for the match. Irwin added four blocks to match Laura Robinette for the team lead. Chelsey Kreinbrook handed out 25 assists and made seven digs. Reaching double figures in digs were Emily Pany with 18 and Robinette with 10. Kelsey Scheipe had five aces. Irwin had 16 kills in the win over the Senators with Schulte and Robinette both adding 11. Kreinbrook had a double-double with 41 assists and 11 digs and Emily Pany made 18 digs. Siewert had five blocks. |
